Same, Same but different!

Just as with the Mediterranean diet, the Nordic diet is a versatile diet made up of regional products.

Nutritionally, there is no big difference. In both you should eat fat, protein and carbohydrates. The difference is in the origin of the ingredients, on the Mediterranean they eat lamb chops and olive oil, while in the north they eat reindeer meat and rapeseed oil.

Where more fruits and vegetables are eaten in southern Europe to eat fiber, there are more cereal products in the north, such as rye, barley and oats. Our malted bread, for example, mainly contains rye malt, rye meal and rye flour and goes perfectly with the Nordic diet.
